Abstract

1,041,805. Pipe connections. A.P.V. CO. Ltd. April 29, 1965 [July 13, 1964], No. 28879/64. Heading F2G. [Also in Division F4] A pipe 10 is connected to an apertured frame part 7 of a plate heat exchanger by a ring 11 and studs 12 and sealed by a flange 3 at one end of a lining bush 1. The other end of the bush is also provided with a flange 4 which is formed with a ridge 5 to co-operate with the upstanding rim 14 of the first plate 16. If the aperture in the frame part 7 is too large for the bush, a conversion liner 8 is placed in the aperture A ridge also may be formed on the flange 3. A stiffener ring 6 is provided to prevent collapse of the bush.
