1,041,933. Fuel elements. COMMISSARIAT A L’ENERGIE ATOMIQUE. Feb. 5, 1964 [Feb. 20. 1963], No. 4883/64. Heading G6C. A nuclear reactor fuel element is formed of uranium sheathed in zircalloy. The sheath is bonded to the fuel by the application of pressure at a temperature of between 750‹ to 950‹ C. Subsequent shaping is by rolling or extrusion, i.e. plastic state deformation.
