Abstract

1,084,729. Alarm arrangements; radio signalling. COMPAGNIE GNRALE DE GOPHYSIQUE. Dec. 1, 1964 [Dec. 13, 1963], No. 48884/64. Headings H3W and H4L. A system comprises one or more radio transmitters each energized from an emergency supply in the event of failure of a main supply, the radiation being repetitively interrupted briefly when a transmitter is, or is about to be, energized from the emergency supply. The invention is applied to a known radio-navigation system in which a station A radiates on a frequency F 1 , a station B radiates on a frequency F 2 differing by a low frequency f from frequency F 1 , and a station N receives the radiations from A and B to produce the frequency f which modulates a radiation on a frequency F 3 , a mobile receiver measuring the phase difference on frequency f. The rates of interruption for stations A and B are different. Schematic arrangements at a transmitter are described, Figs. 1, 2 (neither shown).
