A foodstuff consisting mainly of mineral matter, for example metal oxides, phosphates, chlorides, and sulphates, are pelletised or otherwise agglomerated and rendered acceptable to animals by utilizing as binding agent diluted molasses and/or concentrated whey, together with a dry carbohydrate-containing meal, such as grass, lucerne, seaweed, extracted soya bean, and wheaten groat meals.
