Abstract
1,227,054. Dispensing beverages. TORGINOL INDUSTRIES Inc. 21 March, 1969 [15 Jan., 1969], No. 15114/69. Heading A4T. A beverage dispenser comprises a head 10 having a hot or cold selection valve button 48 with a bayonet catch, dispensing valve button 100 and pump 68 and motor 88 energizing button 86 connected to flexible conduits at 36, 40, 60 and electric cables 87, the head being withdrawable from e.g. a car glove compartment and the conduits leading to a concealed heater 72 and cooler 74 in parallel and a series beverage reservoir 64. Actuating switch 86 allows the pump to circulate beverage via cooler or heater depending on whether button rod 46 pushes the end of rubber tube 40 to close passage 36 or is released to open 36 and close passage 38 by lateral expansion, the beverage then circulating back through the reservoir via passages 32, 24, 28, 60 and chamber 25 having an external aluminium disc whereby the temperature can be detected by the hand holding the head. At the desired temperature button rod 98 is pushed to contract rubber tube 92 whereby beverage is dispensed via passages 60, 94 and a nozzle 106. The dispenser may have only a heater or only a cooler, in which case button 48 and valve 44 may be omitted.
