Abstract
1,246,484. Removable posts. W. E. APPLEBY. 15 Sept., 1969 [5 Oct., 1968], No. 26807/ 68. Heading E1B. A tubular post 1 for supporting a barrier is removably secured in a socket 2 by a padlock the hasp of which passes through corresponding holes in a lug 17 welded to the post and a sliding bar 12 which is retained in the socket by projecting lugs 16. The lower end of the post which is tapered is located by a tubular projection 19. When the post is removed the upper end of the bar 12 is flush with the surface 27 and a cap closes the socket. A tool is provided for removing the cap. A barrier is supported by a series of posts and may be foldable.
