Abstract
1286349 Crates REHRIG PACIFIC CO 17 July 1970 [17 July 1969] 34650/70 Heading B8P A crate 1 moulded from a synthetic resin has its open top reinforced by a steel ring 15. The crate also has stiffening ribs 6 and handholes 7. In the form shown, the ring is seated on a ledge 12 inside the crate top and is retained by projections 18 engaging openings 13 in the crate walls. In an alternative embodiment (Fig. 4 not shown) the ring is on the outside of the crate top and rests on a ledge (23) extending outwardly from the walls. Projections on the ring again engage openings in the walls and in this embodiment, further projections (28) engage openings (27) in the horizontal ledge (23).
