1295822 Aritiskid braking systems; alarms and indicators AISIN SEIKI CO Ltd 8 Jan 1970 1057/70 Headings F2E and F2F An antiskid brake pressure control system for vehicle hydraulic brakes including an alarm indicating a malfunction has a wheel-driven generator 10 supplying a signal, representing angular deceleration of a wheel, to an amplifier which is in turn connected to a Schmitt circuit, the latter circuit actuating an electromagnetically operated valve to control braking pressure and an alarm which co-operates with. the Schmitt circuit to operate if the signal extends beyond a predetermined period. A suction source 31 such as the intake manifold of the vehicle engine is conndcted to a pneumatic servo of an hydraulic pressure modulator of which the two chambers 41c, 41d are normally kept in communication by piping 50 via a control valve 51 operated by a solenoid coil 11 so that the diaphragm piston 42 is urged by a spring 46 into a position where a piston-rod 42a contacts a stem 61a to open a valve 61, operation of valve 51 allowing ambient atmosphere pressure in chamber 41d to provide a differential pressure to close valve 61 and restrict braking pressure to rear wheels. As the signal is formed current passes through a relay RY-8 to charge a capacitor C9 and when the voltage reaches a predetermined level an alarm 19 is energized through a Zener diode D10.
