Abstract
1310331 Clutch control FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 4 Feb 1971 3862/71 Heading F2L In a clutch release thrust bearing assembly wherein a bearing 13 has limited radial movement relative to a bearing carrier 14, a split spring ring 27 urges an end face 26 of the inner race 22 of the bearing into engagement with a radially extending face 17 of the bearing carrier 14. The spring ring 27 is carried by a recess 18 in the bearing carrier 14 and has radially outwardly projecting formations 28 engaging a recess 25 in the bearing inner race 22. Clutch disengaging movement is transmitted from a clutch release lever 12 through the bearing carrier 14 and bearing 13 to a diaphragm spring 10.
