1318372 Cabinets MASSEY-FERGUSON INDUSTRIES Ltd 27 Aug 1970 [13 Nov 1969] 41274/70 Heading A4B [Also in Division E2] A filing cabinet 10 has an opening, a carriage 58, co-operating guide means on the carriage and the cabinet enabling sliding of the carriage within the cabinet between an extended and a retracted position toward and away from the opening, a door 20 pivoted to the bar for movement between a closed position closing the opening and an open position extending horizontally, and guide means on the door to enable movement of the door between the open position and a stored position where the door is retained within the cabinet, the door being of sufficient rigidity to enable movement of the door to an intermediate position to act as a shelf, there being means for indicating, during movement of the door between the open and stored positions, when the shelf is in the intermediate position. The door may be a hollow shell of metal having reinforcing member 40, and plastics end caps carrying the guide means, locking means 50 co-operable with locking pin 78, and stop means to prevent the door being fully pushed into the cabinet in its retained position, and to abut against the cabinet front when the door is closed. Spring 70 acts against stop member 64 to give resistance to movement when the door is pushed into the intermediate position to give the indication when the door is in this position.
