1357707 Electro-photographic element NATIONAL CASH REGISTER CO 19 Dec 1972 [23 Dec 1971] 58483/72 Heading G2C An electro-photographic recording element suitable for conversion to a lithographic master, comprises a conductive substrate having thereon a layer comprising photo-conductive particles dispersed in an insulating binder, the layer including a copolymer of n-octadecylvinyl ether and maleic anhydride. In the embodiments a sheet of paper is coated with a photo-conductive layer containing ZnO, a mixture of sensitizing dyes and a styrene-acrylic copolymer, an acrylic resin, an alkyd resin or a copolymer of vinyl acetate as the binder. The photo-conductive particles are preferably 0À1 to 0À2Á. Cellulose esters or ethers, shellac and waxes may be used as binders also.
