1357877 Card selector DATAGRAPH AG 15 Dec 1971 [23 Dec 1970] 32715/73 Divided out of 1356869 Heading G4M A card selector mechanism has a card container having sides 108 providing guide surfaces, saddles 27 on each card carrying rotary elements 106, selecting means holding non-selected cards against movement and rotary means arranged to move selected cards. Each saddle has a recess containing a toothed wheel portion 106 the friction between the wheel and saddle being such that rotation of the wheel raises all cards not physically restrained by a selector mechanism. The wheels are rotated by further wheels 117, 118 on the container. One edge of each card has teeth 31, 32, 33 selected ones of which are removed. Selector arms 17 are slidable to engage the teeth. To select a card preselected arms are moved to engage the teeth. Wheels 117, 118 are rotated and the cards not having a tooth below arms 17 are raised. An arm 122 arranged to engage a slot 116 in only the non-moved saddles is moved, arms 17 are released and the wheels 117, 118 are further rotated to raise the selected cards further.
