Abstract
1381539 Cooling apparatus RAIFFEISEN KRAFTFUTTERWERK GmbH 21 Aug 1972 [19 Aug 1971] 38951/72 Heading F4U [Also in Division B8] Pelletized concentrated feeding stuff is cooled by feeding through an inlet 2 into a shaft 3 on to the uppermost of a series of superposed endless conveyers 4 forming perforated shelves by which the pellets are conveyed to a lower outlet (not shown) and cooling air is upwardly directed through the conveyers from a lower inlet (not shown) to an upper outlet 1 by plates 8, pivotal flaps 7 and plates on the shaft side walls (not shown). The conveyers each comprise individual elements 10 attached to the links 11 of an endless chain, which elements overlap in scale-like manner in the upper length of chain between return pulleys 5. The elements have perforated base plates 13, with an upwardly bent tongue 14 and side cheeks 15 with inwardly bent leading edges 16 enabling overlap between one element and the trailing edge of the preceding element. A compartment 17 open in the conveying direction is formed below each element to collect fines which are emptied on to guide shoots 6 at the end of each path of travel.
