1511994 Hanging signs NHK SPRING CO Ltd and OSAKA PREFECTURAL OFFICE OF MOTOMACHI 20 Jan 1977 [23 Jan 1976] 2283/77 Heading G5C A signboard 1 is fixed to a sleeve 9 rotatable on a shaft 10 and having an end cam 9a against which an end cam 11a, on an axially slidable sleeve 11, is urged by spring 12. Under sufficient wind pressure, board 1 and sleeve 9 rotate against the restoring force of the cam faces 9d, 11d until, eventually, surfaces 9c, lie can engage. The board then rotates freely until returned to the vertical under gravity when the wind drops. Cam 11 may be fixed while cam 9 slides and rotates.
