Abstract

1522178 Fuel supply control in supercharged IC engines FRIEDMANN & MAIER AG 27 Oct 1975 [8 Nov 1974] 44014/75 Heading F1B A control rod (49) limiting stop device for an I.C. engine fuel injection pump includes a stop member 68 acting upon a detent 75 to limit the fuel quantity delivered to the engine, the stop member having at least two stop faces 73, 74 alternately engageable with the detent 75 so that more fuel may be delivered to the engine during starting than during other running conditions. The stop member 68 is shifted longitudinally by an intake manifold vacuum sensitive diaphragm 79 (as is conventional) but is rotated to present either stop face 73 or 74 to the detent 75 by an electromagnet 100 via a crank (not shown).
