Abstract
1525038 Motor vehicle rear suspensions REGIE NATIONALE DES USINES RENAULT 6 July 1976 [22 July 1975] 28113/76 Heading B7D A motor vehicle rear suspension comprises a pair of wheel carriers 2 each having a projecting stub axle 8, a longitudinal radius rod 3 pivotally connected to each wheel carrier 2, an upright suspension strut 4 rigidly connected to each wheel carrier 2 and surrounded by a coil spring 10, a rigid transverse member 1 pivotally connected at each end to one of the wheel carriers 2 by a horizontal pivot 7 extending longitudinally of the vehicle, and an obilique radius rod 6 connected to one radius rod 3 in the vicinity of the wheel carrier 2 to provide lateral location. The coil spring 10 acts between an upper seat 12 on the vehicle body and a lower seat 11 which bears on the transverse member 1 as shown or may be secured to the body of the strut 4. An anti-roll bar 5 interconnects the radius rods 3.
