Abstract
179,681. Davies, J. Feb. 16, 1921. Hinges and pivots.-A door for a cold-storage &c. chamber is adjustable on its hinges laterally, vertically and at right angles to the plane of the door so that it may be closed tightly. The hinge straps 2 have bolt-and-slot connection with channelled plates 4 and are adjusted by means of a screw and nut on the hinge straps engaging a fixed lug 7 on the plates 4. Vertical adjustment is obtained by a screw 13 adjustably locked in the boss 10 of the hinge strap and bearing on the hinge pin 11. To adjust the door at right-angles to its plane, the hinge pin is mounted in a bolt 15 with squared stem 21 on the frame and is adjustably held in position bv the screws 22.
