Abstract
192,714. Haustgen, F. F. Feb. 6, 1922, [Convention date]. Delivery of articles stored on supports released in succession; coin action, weight.-For supplying bread rolls, chocolate tablets, cigarette papers &c., the articles are stored on shelves 13, Fig. 1, of baskets a<1> arranged round and removably secured by catches b<1> to a cylinder 11 having a screw 9 of quick pitch working in a fixed nut 8. The shelves are disposed horizontally so that their middle points are on a helix corresponding to the helix of the screw 9. When the cylinder 11 is rotated step-by-step, it descends and rods 14 on the shelves come successively in contact with a stop 15, the shelves. being thereby tilted to deliver articles to a tray 3. A burner may be provided at the bottom of the casing for heating the rolls. A friction disc on an electric motor M drives a disc 16 which rotates a tube 10 fixed to the cylinder 11 but through which the tube can slide. The disc 16 is normally locked by a contact piece 17, Fig. 3, engaging one of several notches 20, the number of notches corresponding to the number of baskets. When a coin or token J is inserted in a shoot B it moves a lever 18 carrying the contact piece 17 which completes at 21, 22 the circuit of the motor M. As the disc 16 rotates a projection m thereon moves the contact piece 17 further against a spring strip 23, thereby allowing the coin to drop into a, money box. The piece 17 then engages the next notch 20. In a modification, Fig. 4, the disc 16 is mounted on a pulley 36 through which the tube 10 passes and which is rotated by a cable 34 carrying weights 34<1>, 35′. The disc is locked by a bellcrank lever 31 engaging its notches, this lever being connected by a link 30 to a bell-crank lever 29, 26. The arm 26 is moved by a coin or token J to release the disc 16. Tokens of special form.-Special tokens having ribs may be used.
