Abstract
A cooling enclosure for a transformer, comprising a hollow casing having end members (2, 3). In order to cool a transformer core disposed within the casing (1), pressure-resistant cooling tubes (4) are disposed in axially parallel relationship to one another inside the casing (1) at a spacing from the casing wall, the casing being closed by end covers. The tubes (4) extend into, and are connected in pressure-tight and air-tight manner to, the members (2, 3). Externally, the casing flanges with the tube ends are covered by pressure rings which have connecting passages and an inlet (8) and outlet (9) for an externally supplied liquid coolant circuit. With this construction, the cooling tubes can be cleaned radially by removal of the pressure rings, the casing covers not having to be dismantled so that the casing remains closed.
