Abstract

Crosslinkable hot-melt adhesive composition based on ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing hydroxyl and polyisocyanate functional groups, characterised in that it is in the form of a prepolymer containing free isocyanate functional groups resulting from the reaction of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing hydroxyl functional groups and of polyisocyanate in excess.
This composition is obtained by reaction in the molten state of a mixture of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing hydroxyl functional groups with a polyisocyanate in excess, an adhesive (tackifying) resin being optionally added to the reaction mixture.
