Headings B8A and B8J. A travelling staying apparatus for the terminus station 3 of a face conveyer 2 arranged in a top road 26 of a drift face 27 in a mine in which the conveyer 2 and terminus station 3 are mounted on a slide-type base 13 so as to be slideable in the longitudinal direction of the conveyer 2, the base 13 being displaceably mounted on a guide 14 extending transversely to the conveyer 2 and fixable by hydraulic props 15 comprises one or more removable supporting members 11 arranged between the bottom of the terminus station 3 and the slide base 13 to vary the vertical distance therebetween and the terminus station 3 is coupled to the base 13 or the supporting members 11 by a tiltable pressure cylinder 24 provided to adjust the angle of the face conveyer 2 and to facilitate the placing or removing of the members 11. The supporting members 11 are ring shaped and have a top plate 7 to which is pivoted a bracket 5 secured to a supporting frame 4, which slideably supports the terminus station 3. The ram 8 of a bracing cylinder 9 is pivotally mounted on the bracket 5 whereas the cylinder 9 is connected to an extension 10 of the station 3 such that when pressurized the ram and cylinder 8, 9 move the terminus station 3 longitudinally on the frame 4. The lowest member 11 is mounted on a plate 12 on the slide base 13. The device can be shifted along the guide 14 by a ram and cylinder 19, 17 anchored at one end to an abutment 18 detachably attached to the guide 14 and at the other end to a bracket 20 on the slide base 13. The guide 14 may be similarly moved relative to the base 13 once the props 15 are depressurized. Transverse channels are provided in the supporting members 11 through which the ram 19 passes.
