Abstract
Paper is transparentized by impregnating it with polypropene The impregnant may be applied as a solution in, e.g., naphtha, xylene or toluene, and the paper maintained wet, e.g. by winding it into a roll and allowing it to stand, until it is thoroughly impregnated. The solution may also contain another water-white synthetic resin, e.g. polystyrene, polyethylene, or polymethyl methacrylate, or a dye. The treated paper may be used as tracing paper.
