Abstract
1,073,283. Camera shutter/diaphragm. HATTORI TOKEITEN KABUSHIKI KAISHA. Jan.8, 1965 [Jan. 9, 1964], No.852/65. Heading G2A. A shutter/diaphragm mechanism for cameras comprises opening blades and closing blades, the latter being operated at a predetermined time after the former. As shown (Fig. 1) the opening blades 2 are mounted on a ring 3 with pin 4 which engages with a pivoted lever 8 having pin 9 which is urged against a cam surface 10a of a first gear 10 of a delay mechanism which is held in the cocked position by a locking member 13 which is tripped by a movable armature 28 of an electromagnet 27; the operating time of first gear 10 can be set by means of a pinion 14, a gear 15, an escape pinion 16, an escape gear 17 and an anchor 18. Closing blades 23 are pivoted at 19 and are driven by a pin 22 of a lever 21 which is held in the cocked position by a locking member 26 via arms 21a, 26a and is tripped by a movable armature 30 of electromagnet 29. When a switch S, is closed, the electromagnet 27 is energized and attracted to armature 28 thus releasing locking member 13 so that gear 10 rotates clockwise, allowing lever 8 to rotate anticlockwise thus causing ring 3 to rotate clockwise to open opening blades 2 to commence exposure. After a predetermined period of time governed by an electrical delay circuit, the electromagnet 29 is energized to attract its armature 30 to rotate locking member 26 thus releasing lever 21 which rotates clockwise closing the closing blades 23 to complete the exposure. The shutter is cocked by opening switch S1 and rotating a set lever 32 anticlockwise so that the pointed portions between cam surfaces 34a, 34b of the delay mechanism cocking lever 34 is forced into the space between a pin 36 on the first gear 10 and a stepped part 37 of the base plate 1, and continuing the rotation until a surface 34d of lever 34 engages pin 36 and rotates the gear 10 counterclockwise thus closing the opening blades 2 via parts 8, 9, 4 and 3; when these blades are completely closed, the projection 32a of lever 32 opens the closing blades 23 and locking of gear 10 and lever 21 is simultaneously effected by locking members 13, 26. The set lever is reset by clockwise rotation, so that lever 34 and projection 32a do not interfere with gear 10 and lever 21 respectively.
