Cam discs 2 are bonded to a sprayed or injection moulded coating 3 of hard thermoplastics material on a metal sleeve 1. The plastics coating 3a between adjacent cam discs may be formed with a cam profile. The sleeve 1 may be grooved or knurled for keying the plastics coating 3. Perforated metal cam discs flanged at their inner and outer radii may be embedded in the plastics coating for rigidity.
