1,087,438. Lead acid batteries. ELECTRIC STORAGE BATTERY CO. Feb. 25, 1965 [March 9, 1964], No. 8178/65. Heading H1B. A paste for a lead/acid battery electrode is made by adding to vigorously agitated lead/ lead oxide powder a mixture of sulphuric acid and water in amounts such that the water present in the composition does not exceed 8% by weight of the lead/lead oxide powder, and drying the composition so that it contains less than one half per cent weight of water and subsequently adding water to this stable product to form a paste.
