Abstract
1,249,788. Ironing machines. G. BHAVSAR. 25 March, 1970 [30 April, 1969], No. 14507/70. Heading D1A. An ironing machine, ironer-dryer or calendar includes a steam generator in a closed circuit with a heated working part. As shown a rotatable or fixed double-walled cylinder 3 is supplied with steam through an inlet 9 from the generator, condensate draining through two outlets 14a, 14b back to the bottom of the generator. The generator comprises two parallel vessels 4a, 4b interconnected by a pressure equalizing tube 5 and a series of gas-heated, finned tubes 6. In modifications more than one cylinder 3 is supplied from a single steam generator.
