Abstract
1289500 Reciprocating pumps DANFOSS A S 27 Nov 1969 [4 Dec 1968] 58135/69 Heading F1A A radial piston pump comprises pistons 24 reciprocated in a rotary cylinder block assembly 21, 22 by an eccentric track 6, liquid distribution being controlled by sequential registration of cylinder ports 25 with arcuate ports connected to inlet and outlet ports 29, 30. The block assembly comprises two discs 21, 22 biassed apart by the delivery pressence acting in chambers 42 connected to ports 25, the chambers being sealed by 0-rings 43. The outer faces of discs 21, 22 are recessed at 38 and 39 to form a sealing face 37 Fig. 2 the recessing 39 forming a thrust bearing. The eccentricity of track 6 is adjusted by hand wheel 12. Ports 25 extend through the block assembly to communicate with balancing recesses 35, 36 which are mirror images of the arcuate inlet and outlet ports. Leakage into casing chamber 44 escapes via passages 45, 46. The block assembly is spliced on drive shaft 15 and a plurality of block assemblies with separate inlets and outlets may be mounted on a common shaft Fig. 4 (not shown). (For Figures see next page)
