Abstract
1295487 Lap forming apparatus; layering fabrics KONSTRUKTORSKOE BJURO MINISTERSTVA LEGKOI PROMYSHLENNOSTI ESTONSKOI SSR 2 Dec 1970 57213/70 Headings DIN and D1S In an apparatus to form a fibrous lap 17 from a web or webs 2 the web/s 2 are delivered by a conveyor 1 to two conveyors 3 arranged vertically in a frame 5 which is pivoted at 4 for swinging motion. The frame 5 is pivoted at 14 in a vertical slot in a carriage 13 (see also Fig. 3, not shown) which traverses a horizontal rack 18 which drives a pair of compacting rolls via gears 20 and 21. The lap is formed on a conveyor 16. The height of carriage 13 is adjustable by raising and lowering rack 18 to correspond to the lap thickness The clearance between conveyors 3 is adjustable and they are synchronized by gear pairs 7 and 8. Drive to conveyors 3 is by a cardan shaft (9), Fig. 2, (not shown).
