1297520 Hydraulic motor control circuits P G LEESON 20 Nov 1970 [20 Nov 1969] 56751/69 Heading F1P An hydraulic control apparatus for the long travel, cross travel and lifting motions of a crane or hoist comprises a driven pump 2, drawing fluid from a reservoir 1, a two-way solenoid actuated valve 1A and a flow splitting device 5 supplied through the valve 1A, a fluid line 24 from the flow splitting device 5 to operate motors 17 controlling the lifting motion when a valve 8 is operated and a fluid line 23 from flow splitting device 5 to motors 15, 16 controlling long travel and cross travel motions respectively when valves 6, 11 and 12 are operated. A hook service is operated by a ram 1D when flow from the pump 2 is diverted by means of valve 1A and passes through conduits 22, 41 via a solenoid operated valve 1B. A variable speed control device is connected to the pump 3 in order to increase the output flow. Exhaust lines from all the motion circuits converge into one line 29 connected through a check valve 18 and filter 19 to the reservoir 1. The pressure in line 24 may be boosted by operation of valve 6 so that fluid line 23 is connected to a line 28 which joins line 24, a non-return valve 7 being incorporated in line 28.
