Abstract
1305142 Mixing apparatus MITSUBISHI JUKOGYO KK 26 April 1971 [27 April 1970] 11327/71 Heading B1C Apparatus for the continuous treatment of high viscosity liquid materials comprises parallel shafts 9, 9′ rotatably mounted in a body 1 having an outer casing 4 for cooling or heating medium, each shaft having parallel discs 13, 13′ which have each a diameter larger than the distance between adjacent shafts, and the discs supporting at least one agitating scraper blade 14, 14′ which is parallel to the shafts and is received in notches provided in the discs of the adjacent shaft or shafts. The shafts 9 are hollow and may have a heating or cooling medium passed through them. The discs may be of wire gauge, and they may be slit with the adjacent parts (19) bent out of the planes of the discs, see Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown).
