Abstract

1310363 Finishing apparatus RIMAR SpA 11 March 1970 [20 March 1969] 11670/70 Heading D1L Apparatus for finishing a web of textile material comprises a spraying chamber provided with nozzles, a first heating chamber with first means for heating air therein, and a second heating chamber provided with second means for heating air therein. As shown, the web 3 to be treated is unrolled from the roll 1 and passed through the spraying chamber 10, vertically past the spraying units 20. The units are fixed and arranged in rows directed towards both surfaces of the web, the units 20 being fed by pump 7 which confers to the nozzles a pressure of at least 3 Kg/cm2. The web then passes through chamber 6 for a time between 10-35 seconds before passing into the drying chamber 18, in which the hot air is recycled and which is maintained at a temperature between 85 and 120‹C where it remains for 80-170 seconds. The polymerization of the finishing composition on the web is carried out in chamber 19 at a temperature of 120‹-150‹C for a period of 65-140 seconds. The hot air is also recycled through chamber 19. The air used for heating both chamber 18 and 19 is heated by separate systems of steam heated finned tubes.
