1332566 Free machining steel CREUSOTLOIRE 5 May 1971 [8 May 1970] 13346/71 Heading C7D There is added to the molten steel a sodium salt of sulphurous, this sulphuric or pyrosulphurous acids in conjunction with one or more of Se, Te or Bi. The preferred salt addition is 0À1 to 5 kg/ton, particularly of Na 2 SO 3 , Na 2 S 2 O 3 or Na 2 S 2 O 5 , added to the ladle, with less than 0À06% in total of Se, Te or Bi added to the ingot mould. Se may be added as a sodium salt of selenous acid.
