Abstract

1346765 Fuels SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ NV 14 June 1971 [16 June 1970] 29142/70 Heading C5G A hydrocarbon fuel, e.g. gasoline, diesel fuel aviation turbine fuel, gas oil contains (a) a polyamino containing at least one substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group with between 40 and 200 C atoms which is directly attached to a N atom, and (b) a substance with a viscosity of 20-2500 cS (20 C.) which is not a mineral oil constituent, nor a polyamine described under (a). The polyamines can be thought to be derived from amines in which the H atoms attached to N are replaced by the C 40 -C 200 groups and are diamines, e.g. ethylene 1,2 diamine, benzene 1,4 diamine and NN1 dimethylpropylene 1,3 diamine, or polyalkyl polyamines, e.g. tetia ethylene pentamine. The C 40 -C 200 group is preferably a polyisobutenyl group or an alkane group substituted with a monor amount of halogen, preferably chlorine.
