Abstract
1352104 Bleomycinic acid ZAIDAN HOJIN BISEIBUTSU KAGAKU KENKYU KAI 15 May 1972 [15 May 1971] 22726/72 Heading C2A The invention comprises bleomycinic acid of Formula I Bleomycinic acid is characterized by a melting point of 228-230‹ C. (decomposition) and an elemental analysis of C: 40À80%, H: 5À29%, N: 16À45%, O: 24À78%, S: 4À53%, Cl: 3À37% and Cu: 4À78%, is soluble in water, slightly soluble in methanol, acetic acid and dimethylsulphoxide, and insoluble in ethanol, acetic acid, acetone and ether, and gives a positive result in the Pauly and Ehrlich reactions but gives a negative result in the ninhydrin, Sakaguchi, Dragendorf, Tollens, ferric chloride, Fehling and Molisch reactions, and has ultra-violet absorption maxima at 246 mÁ and 292 mÁ and has infra-red absorption bands at 3350, 1720, 1670, 1640, 1580, 1460, 1365, 1050 and 770 cm.
