1353871 Golf balls ACUSHNET CO 24 May 1972 [6 Dec 1971] 24352/72 Heading A6D In a golf ball having a maximum diameter of 1.70 ins and having dimples, the dimples have a “diameter” EF in the range of 0.150 to 0.165 ins and a depth CD in the range of 0.0090 to 0.0115 ins. The edges of the dimple are preferably rounded with a radius of curvature 26 in the range of 0.020 to 0.080 ins. The points EF between which the “diameter” of the dimple is measured lie at the intersections of a continuation 16 of the periphery of the ball and tangents 44, 46 to the dimple surface at points A, B, 0.003 ins from the periphery of the ball.
