Abstract
1355064 Electronic watches SUWA SEIKOSHA KK 25 Aug 1971 [20 Oct 1970 27 Oct 1970] 32212/72 Divided out of 1355062 Heading G3T The description of the electronically energized watch is substantially as Parent Specification 1355062 but the claims are directed primarily to the relative dimensions of the parts of the magnetic circuit of the tuning fork oscillator of the watch. As shown Fig. 8, each tine of the fork carries a parallel pair of plates 35c, 35d and 35a, 35b respectively, of magnetic material. Permanent magnets 36c, 36d, 36a, 36b are fitted in recesses in the respective plates. A single pick-up and drive coil 3 is disposed in the gaps in the generally U-shaped magnetic circuits which include the fork tines and the plates. Fig. 14 illustrates the relative dimensions of the components of each magnetic circuit. Thus the dimension “c” should always be greater than dimension “a”; about half the magnet thickness should project beyond the plate where it is thickest i.e. at dimension “c”; (a-b) should not exceed one third the thickness of the magnet also dimension “d” should be at least 1¢ times “e”.
