1365916 I.C. exhaust gas catalyst MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 27 July 1971 [30 July 1970 (7)] 35301/71 Heading B1E [Also in Division Fl] A catalyst composition is formed by treating a fabric of glass fibres with an acid to increase the relative silica content of the fibres and then depositing a layer of catalyst for oxidation of carbon monoxide thereon. Specified catalyst components are platinum, cobalt oxide and copper oxide, optionally promoted with an oxide of nickel, chromium, manganese or aluminium. A layer of an organic chromium, cobalt or nickel compound may be deposited on the fabric surface before deposition of the catalyst itself. Specificatiion 1315850 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the comptroller to Specification 1315850.
