Abstract
1392616 Plastic bottles SAINT-GOBAIN INDUSTRIES 6 April 1972 [8 April 1971] 15921/72 Heading B8D The wall surface generatrix of a moulded plastics, e.g. P.V.C., bottle is constituted by contiguous arcs of circles a 1 -a 5 and straight lines, which are tangential at their meeting points to form a smoothly-blended bottle profile. The distance Ls between an upper mould clamping zone and the transition of the bottle neck to the bottle body is less than half the distance L between the upper mould clamping zone and a lower mould clamping zone. The bottle bottom is inwardly-domed and reinforced by a diametrical rib n, Fig. 2 (not shown). Various relationships between the bottle dimensions are defined, and specific examples are given.
