Abstract

1402026 Exposure control circuit EASTMAN KODAK CO 13 Sept 1972 [13 Sept 1971] 42593/72 Heading G2A An exposure control circuit includes a lamp 222 which is lit if subject brightness is such that a flash or tripod exposure is required and is extinguished when the shutter closes to indicate the termination of exposure. On closing switch S’ 1 a trigger circuit 218 is switched on to light lamp 222 if the illumination of a photo-conductor 202 is low. When a shutter opening blade (44), Fig.1 (not shown) is released a timing switch S’ 2 is opened, a timing capacitor 200 charges up, and switches off a trigger circuit 192 which de-energizes a coil 194 to release a shutter closing blade (46), and switches off trigger circuit 218 to extinguish lamp 222. The charging of timing capacitor 200 is controlled by a photo-conductor 198 and, if flash is used, by resistors 226 and 230 selected according to object distance. In Fig.2 (not shown), a photo-conductor (102) corresponding to photo-conductor 202 automatically sets a diaphragm aperture (25), Fig.1, via a differential amplifier (110) and an electromagnet (36) and correspondingly adjusts an aperture (29) located before the photo-conductor (102) and a shutter timing photo-conductor (98). At the end of exposure the apertures (25, 29) are automatically reduced to their minimum values.
