Abstract
1438425 Brushgear; two part couplings FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 29 April 1974 [21 May 1973] 18590/74 Headings H2A and H2E A terminal member 50 which releasably fits into a brush holder 72 for conveying current to or from a brush 34 via a conductive pressure spring 36 includes a relatively wide end section 52 having elements 56, 58 for receiving a conductor lead (86, Fig. 11, not shown), and a relatively narrow end section 54 having a folded part 64, 68, 66 for making contact with the spring 36, the section 54 also having finger elements 70 extending in opposite directions away from the terminal whereby to engage with the inner surfaces of walls 76 of the holder when the terminal is inserted therein. The terminal also includes a pair of shoulders 60 with elements 62 perpendicular thereto for locating in notches (78, Fig. 10, not shown) in side walls 74 in the holder 72. When the terminal is in position, the end of section 54 is received in a slot 84 in a mounting plate 10 of a machine in which the brush 34 operates.
