Abstract
1439019 Liners for transport containers or vehicle bodies; lined transport container DU PONT OF CANADA Ltd 17 Aug 1973 [18 Aug 1972] 39056/73 Headings B8E B8P and B8Q A liner 10, Fig. 1, is provided for a container or road or rail vehicle for transporting bulk material including liquids. The liner is secured in the container by stretchable connectors 13 extending between tabs 11 secured to the top seam 12 of the liner and hooks 14 attached to the top of the container. The liner has an inlet opening 16, vent opening 17, and at least one discharge opening 18 all closable by tie-offs 19. A movable bulkhead 38, Fig. 3, holds the liner in the container at the end provided with doors 39A, 39B and if the liner extends to the full height of the container an identical second upper bulkhead is provided. To fill the container a loading pipe 44, Fig. 3, supported by a stand 47 is inserted in a loading sleeve 45 while the vent sleeve 48 is opened allowing material to be blown in while a screen 48A prevents its escape. To unload, Fig. 6, a discharge tube 82, Fig. 6, is supported by a trough 83 over a hopper 86 of a pneumatic conveyer system 87 or other discharge means while the vent tube 88 is again opened. To assist discharge the container is tipped as by a jack 74 while a second discharge tube behind the other door may be used simultaneously or after discharge is complete from the first tube.
