1442832 Structural joints AMAX Inc 12 Oct 1973 [20 Oct 1972] 47866/73 Heading F2M [Also in Divisions E1-E2] A shop front is constructed using a framework comprising mullions, e.g. 12 and horizontal members, e.g. 18, wherein a mullion is connected intermediate its ends to the end of a horizontal member using the combination of a “shear pin fastener” 55, which is secured into a “screw spline” 41 running along the horizontal member, and has a shaped head 59 which sits in a hole 70 in the mullion together with a headed “dowel pin” 65 which is forced into a “screw spline” 42 and has its head 68 located in use in a hole 71 of the mullion.
