Abstract
1442896 Shelf racks OSCAR MAYER & CO Inc 11 Feb 1974 [12 Feb 1973] 06060/74 Heading A4B A rack for fitment to the rods 18 of a wire shelf comprises spaced uprights inter-connected by cross-members carrying cantilevered rod brackets 22, the uprights having forwardly extending feet 14 provided at their distal ends with screw clamps which clamp on to the shelf rods 18. In one embodiment, Fig. 2, the clamp comprises a nut 36 and bolt 35 which clamp the rods 18 between a member 34 and a flange 33 of the foot 14. In another embodiment, Fig. 4, a J-bolt 37 hooks into an upwardly open recess formed in a flange of the foot 14. The inner end of each rod bracket 22 is engaged in an upwardly open slot 24 and in an aperture 25 in a cross-member, or S-shaped spring 26 pressing upwardly on the end of the bracket 22.
