Abstract

1447379 Field effect transistor Schmitt trigger ITT INDUSTRIES Inc 24 Oct 1973 [24 Oct 1972] 49524/73 Heading H3T A field effect transistor Schmitt trigger comprises an input transistor T1 connected to one supply terminal through resistance T4 and to the other terminal through a load transistor T2 to form an inverter, the output of the inverter controlling the voltage across the resistor to provide the switching hysteresis. As shown the control is effected by a further transistor T3. When T1 and T2 are in the form of a complementary inverter (Fig. 4, not shown) transistor T3 may be controlled via a further complementary inverter controlled by the output of T1.
