Abstract

1448218 Soil cultivating implements C VAN DER LELY NV 4 Dec 1973 [4 Dec 1972] 56203/73 Heading A1B In a rotary soil cultivating implement (Fig. 1), the fastening portion of each soil working tine is tapered and received wholly within a holder of the tine support, the tine being secured in the holder by means of a fastening member. In Fig. 3, the tines 53 are formed with tapering square-section fastinging portions 52 which are secured in complementary recesses 51 in the support 49A, by fastening members in the form of wedges 57 extending through holes in the support 49A and in the fastening portions 52. The broader end of each wedge is foremost with respect to the direction of rotation of the soil working member 6. In Fig. 5, the tapering square-section fastening portions 58 of the tines are received in sleeves 61 rigid with the support 60A. In Fig. 6, the fastening portion 64 of each tine 65 has a tapering channel-shaped crosssection open upwards and secured in a tapering square-section recess 67 in the support 68 by a fastening member in the form of nuts 76 engaging a stud 69. Each tine 65 has a screening portion 71.
