Abstract
1467364 Portable containers; drop dispenser SIGMA TAU INDUSTRIE FAKMACEUTICHE RIUNITE SpA 25 July 1974 [3 Aug 1973] 32899/74 Headings B8D and B8T A sealing device for a container 1, e.g. a glass bottle, comprises a cup-shaped plug 3 for holding a substance 4 to be mixed with the container contents, a displaceable assembly comprising a disc 9 having drip dispensing holes 11, depending tube 10 and sleeve 6, the sleeve having a lower edge 7 for rupturing the bottom 5 of the plug, and a sealing cap 12, which is releasablyfitted to the disc and which is detached therefrom on downwardly displacing the cap and assembly to effect rupture of the plug. As the assembly and cap are pressed down, the cap engages the plug and is pushed off the disc. The cap is releasably retained on the disc by a disc rib (15), Figs. 1 and 3 (not shown), which engages a cap groove (13). On detachment of the cap, the disc rib (15) engages in a groove (17) in the plug. The device may be made of plastics.
