1467378 Screw sockets RAWLPLUG CO Ltd 14 March 1975 [18 March 1974] 11954/74 Heading F2H An anchoring device for securing two members 1, 2 together comprises a sleeve having two portions 3, 7, e.g. of rubber, neoprene or P.V.C., separated by an integral flange portion 5, and a nut 4 embedded in or secured to one end of the sleeve, such that when the device is located in holes 8, 9 in the members 1, 2 with the flange portion 5 between the members 1, 2 and a screw is passed through the sleeve to engage and turn the nut 4, the sleeve portions 3, 7 are compressed axially and bulge radially outwards to retain the members 1, 2 together. The sleeve portions 3, 7 may be of different volumes and different non-cylindrical shapes.
