1476536 Photoinitiators CONTINENTAL GROUP Inc 30 Jan 1975 [7 March 1974] 4149/75 Heading C3P A photoinitiator combination comprises a benzoyl diphenyl sulphide of the formula and an organic amine having at least one CH group attached to nitrogen: in the formula R and R 1 are hydrogen, C 1 -C 10 alkyl, halogen, alkoxy, aryl, alkaryl, aralkyl, cyano or nitro and n is 0 or 1. The combination is particularly useful in the photopolymerization of unsaturated esters, particularly those containing multiple unsaturation for use in printing inks or coating compositions. Triethanolamine is the preferred amine.
