Abstract
1476996 Composite piles S E F I SONDAGES – ETANCHEMENTS – FORAGES – INJECTIONS 24 Sept 1974 [2 Oct 1973] 41555/74 Heading E1H A perforated pipe 2 having holes 4 is either driven into the ground or located in a previously drilled bore so as to penetrate a load bearing strata B,. and a grouting is injected at high pressure from a device inserted in the pipe to penetrate firstly the strata B r and subsequently the upper non load bearing strata B via the holes 4 so as to anchor the pipe in the ground. If the pipe is located in a bore hole (as shown in Fig. 4), the annular space between it and the bore wall is filled with a grout sheath 3 before injection occurs. A reinforcing 6 is located within the pipe 2 which is filled with a sealing grout 7. The pipe 2 which is of steel may be vertical or inclined and the grouting material may be concrete.
