Abstract
1511561 Push button tuning actuators NIHON TECHNICAL KK 15 May 1975 [20 May 1974] 20696/75 Heading H3Q In a push button tuner actuator having a pair of interconnecting members 13, 14 each including a body portion 17 mounted at one end on a respective one of a pair of tuning slides 7, 8 and arranged at the other end to selectively engage a push button slide 4, movement of a shift member 20 is effective to bring one of the interconnecting members 13 or 14 to its operative position for connecting the push button slide 4 with a selected one 7 of the pair of tuning slides 7 or 8 and to bring the other of the interconnecting members to its inoperative position. The body portion 17 can be of flexible, resilient material and can be formed to resiliently urge a pin 15 away or toward a notch 18 or the body portion 17 can have a snap action between the operative position (shown for member 13) and the inoperative position (shown for member 14). A switching lever is connected to move a shift plate 20 to the left or right (as shown) so as to connect the push button slide 4 via a notch 18 or slot and one of the pins 15 to the tuning slide 8 or 7 (as shown). In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown) the pin 15 is long enough to engage both the push button slide 4 and the selected tuning slide 7 or 8. Tuning cams 9 and associated positioning means 10 are provided. In a further embodiment (Figs. 4 and 5, not shown) the interconnecting members (24, 25) have rigid body portions (27) which are pivoted to studs (28) secured to the tuning slides 7 and 8 so as to enable selective engagement of the free end (31) of each body portion with the notch 18 in the push button slide 4.
